Our beloved brother, Mr. S. J. Hill of London, fell on sleep on September 2nd, after an illness extending over a few months. He was an able exponent of the Holy Scriptures, and for a long number of years was a regular contributor to the pages of this magazine. His last contribution, entitled, "God fully revealed in the Son," which appeared in the September issue, was written on his sick bed just a few weeks prior to his departure to be with Christ. His writings will be a fitting monument to his memory in coming generations, to such as may have copies of the bound volumes of the magazine. But those who had the privilege :to sit under his oral ministry will ever remember him for the spiritual food he provided at the meetings he addressed week 'by week in London and district. He was possessed of singular calmness and courage in the declaration of what he believed to be the truth of God, and he was unswerving in his loyalty to the Lord. He had a clear mind and great facility in expressing himself, both in oral and written ministry. In counsel he was possessed of exceptional wisdom, and men of his own district will feel that they have lost a wise counsellor, as we all do.' As one of the Consultative Editors of this magazine his criticisms were fair and his suggestions for the improvement of contributors' articles were helpful. We shall miss his able and ungrudging service in this sphere also. He has passed on to join the glorious host of the redeemed, there to await a well-earned reward in the coming day of Christ.
